Girl time and New York, New York

Friday Night I enjoyed a sleepover at my best friend Nicole's house. Nicole is Robby's Godmother, her and I have been friends since the tenth grade. We drank Belgium beer and played a game and just spent much needed quality girl time together. I thank God for her and treasure our friendship more than anything! Here are pics of her kids.... Nicholas (4) and the twins Kylie and Alyssa (18 months) I had alot of fun hanging out with them and can't wait for the next play date!

I enjoyed hanging out with Nicolas, he taught me how to play Wi. It was bittersweet for me though as this is what Robby and I should be doing together at this age. But I was glad to have "Nicolas time" for awhile. He made my heart melt when he called me "aunt" Cory. Nicole has also been "aunt" to my kids since birth.

Here is double trouble.... Kylie and Alyssa
The twins were a trip when I was blow drying my hair. I went to the bathroom to brush my hair and when I came out the twins were bent over trying to figure out what this thing was that was making my hair blow everywhere. I watched them as they pointed to it and looked at each other in amazement like "what is this thing?!"

On Saturday Madison had a rollerskating party at Skateaway, a roller rink that has been around since I was her age. So it is at least 30 years old. And when I walked in to the place I almost died. It hadn't changed, not one bit. I don't even think they updated the paint! It was so wierd to be there and brought back so many childhood memories of my sister and I going there for school functions, I remember my dad taking us there the most. It was neat to see Maddy trying to learn how to skate. She never really skated before. She was getting the hang of it by the end of the night. I taught her and her friend Sierra how to skate. The mom that threw the party must have invited about 50 kids at least (no exxageration!) I also met another mom there which was cool. I don't know alot of the moms in Maddys class so it was good to be there for me.

We had a blast and I am going to start taking her there more often. As soon as she gets the hang of this we will work on ice skating. That is what she really wants to learn and I can't wait to teach her! I want her to play hockey but that may be a dream. She wants to learn how to figure skate. :)

On Sunday the kids went ot NYC for Valentines day with Daddy. I stayed at home. Rob invited me to go but I just couldn't, it would have hurt to much... to be in the one city I love so much with the boy that I will forever love, who ultimatly broke my heart. I just couldn't go. I wanted to go for the kids sake but for me it would have brought back to many memories and beings it was on Valentine's day would have been just too much.
I cried so much over this dumb Hallmark holiday that I was and still am exhausted. Rob sent me a pic from his phone it isn't the greatest but I will post it anyway. I am hoping to get more pics up here soon from their trip. Maddy had a blast, I am glad she loves my city. Now if only I could convince her to love my Yankees over those darn Phillies...Hmm...... :)
Maddy in Time Square, Rock on Mads!

So the only thing medically that has changed is that Robby will now take .1 mg of Risperdone before bed and .5 mg in the morning. We are hoping this helps him to get some more sleep and be less agitated during the day. If this doesn't work they will try Klonopin next month. Fingers crossed.

So that was our weekend... Hope you had a good one too!

How funny....I just got a call from my hubby...from NYC...in TIME SQUARE...that's where his hotel is!

I am so jealous...I have only been to NY once and it was for one day!

Sounds like you had a great weekend...in spite of yesterday.
Sorry it was hard for you, and I am sorry you were alone.

Hope your little guy is feeling well.

Hugs....Deb

PS....I am sure you are sick of the snow...but it looks beautiful...we have had NONE this year, so feel free to send some our way! ;)
