Sick Day

I took a sick day today. I really need to rest. Still having a hard time catching my breath and finding energy.

I also had a court hearing this morning. I am another step away from being finished with the failed marriage. Today I am broke, but today I also have a clean slate to start over financially. The judge asked me how this financial thing happened. Truth is I was worried about paying unpaid medical bills and charging everything else to survive. I needed to pay bills so Robby could continue to see those specialists he needs. (It didn't help I had a husband that didn't really care about finances also).

I think that our president should make it a priority to help our people in this country who are going through financial hard times due to unforseen medical issues, instead of us paying for illegal aliens to recieve free care. I was reading some of this new proposed health care bill and it is really scary. We as families of special needs children need to be loud and be heard by our government because otherwise this could be a nightmare for all of us!

So now I am resting and later this afternoon I am meeting Rob with the baby to see his first physchiatrist. This will be the Dr. that will work with us on Robbys behavior meds. This should also help us get autism services. Although I just found out that there is such a long waiting list for Autism services that they have now closed the waiting lists to some programs too! I have no idea how long it will take to get services but I am sure praying hard it will happen quickly.

Maddy is good and healthy so far and Robby is finally feeling better and had a really good day at school.

Talk to you all soon!
