Happy New Year to all of you! I hope you had a wonderful and safe holiday!

Over this holiday I found out that I am an "aunt"! Let me explain. I have a sister Stacie. I also have an exchange sister that lived with my family when Stacie and I were younger. Her name is Gema and we really consider her our sister! She is absolutly a part of our family! She is from Spain and we have kept in touch with her over all these years. In October her husband and her welcomed a little girl, Elvira. She is absolutly beautiful and I am so excited to be an "aunt"! So welcome to the world Elvira, you are so blessed to have a wonderful mommy and daddy! We love you so very much! Your family here in the US is sending you many kisses and hugs! Besos y Abrazos!
We spent the last of the year sick with upper respiratory infections and asthma. Go figure! Robby was the worst. Poor kid, he has such a hard time in the winter with asthma and infections. I wasn't much better, inhalers after inhalers and too much rescue medicine, my lungs are really bad too!

So we had a nice new years eve. It started at 1 p.m. when we met up with an old friend of mine from high school. Her name is Wendy and her daughter is Madison too. They were up to visit her family for the holidays and we haven't seen each other in over 2 years. She lives in North Carolina, where her husband is in the Army. They both work on the base, although he is overseas right now. It was fun to get the girls together. It was the first time they met and they introduced themselves by saying "Hi I'm Madison!" and "Hi I'm Madison too!" It was too freaking cute!
The kids and I spent the evening with friends and both kids stayed up until 11 p.m. Maddy tried so hard to watch the ball drop but just couldn't keep those beautiful eyes open.
On Friday afternoon they went to dads. I drove down to West Virginia with friends and spent Saturday in Martinsburg. I went antiquing which is so much fun in cute little old colonial towns! Then I spent the evening relaxing at the pool and hot tub at the Woods golf resort. I really needed one day to relax like that and it was fun! I got home Sunday around 9 a.m. The drive is exhausting for me, 3 hours is a long time for me to drive, but it was well worth it!
Today we are all back to the same old routine of meds, school and homework schedules!
Hoping this new year brings much needed good answers to our health and yours!
