Just Another Diagnosis

Robby was diagnosed with Mild Autism yesterday due to the behavriol issues he exhibits. His EEG was clear of any seizure activity on Monday but it could have been because they upped his seizure medicine immediatly after the seizure Sunday and they gave him Ativan. He was sedated with Chloral Hydarate for the EEG as well so those could have all played a factor in why he was not showing any seizures on the EEG.

We met with Dr. Boo the new local neurologist yesterday and she spent two hours with Rob and I. She was very thorough and we both really liked her. She is a mom and she "just gets it" She is also a mom of a special needs child which brings more comfort to us.  She also did her internship and residency at John Hopkins which is affiliated with Kennedy Krieger and she know the physicians down there well.

She brings a new viewpoint to the table and we are happy Robby will be in her care. As she said he is a complex medical case and she is willing to take her time with us. I love her!

So that's the update...Mild Autism... We are not surprised, it just confirmed what we already knew.

So for now we just live in the present and not worry about tomorrow. One day at a time.

Robby had his Halloween party at school and daycare today. He was a little dinosaur... so cute!!! I will post pics soon when I get some time. Maddy is a spider countess for halloween, she is absolutly adorable!
