Kernsville's Open House - Maddy's night

I realize that all you have seen this week has been about MITO. So it is time to update you on my other precious child.

Madison's Open house was tonight. It went very well. Her teacher is Mrs. Miller and she is now in second grade. Her main teacher is still the learning support teacher Mrs. Sarnicky (whom I really like). I met a mom tonight and I really liked her. I just wish I had time in life to be friends with other moms. It is 9:36 and I just got the kids to bed. So I guess these blog journeys will have to be the ears that befriend me for now!

Madison retained alot of information from last year so I am happy for that. She really wants to learn how to play an instrument so I am currently  looking for a piano teacher. I try to teach her but it is hard to teach your own child. She is also in class with an old friend of hers from her babysitters house so that is really good for her. She enjoys math, gym and music the most. I am proud of her.

She also likes to talk about her brother. Her teachers were worried I might not like that, but I told them I want her to share it, if it helps her. I encourage her to share about Robby. I also told her teachers I am open with her on the subject of him being progressivly sick. She is old enough to understand. I don't hide that from her. They were glad to know how I felt on that subject.

She is doing so good and everyone is happy with her progression so far.  She is still quite the storyteller. I have to laugh at that. I am glad she is creative and has a good imagination. I just have to stress to her the difference between imagination and reality.  She's such a trip!  :)
